Here is my writing assessment.

A special place in a community is a Marae. Why is it a special place.

A marae is special because it is a place to say goodbye to someone who died. It is a place to awhi and comfort Wanau and  friends who are sad.

A marae is special because it is a place to celebrate someone who just got married. It is a place to be happy.

A marae is special because it is a place to have a party.it is a place to spend time with family and friends. It is a place to build relationships.

Recount Writing-At Dargaville

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing
On Saturday, my family and I went to Dargaville beach
with our Uncle Jimmy to go fishing.        

First, my family and I got ready to go to the beach.  

We needed a towel, a spare change of clothes, a hat and
sunblock. Next, I helped my mum make some lunch for us. 
After that my Uncle Jimmy laid the line down so he can
catch fish. He caught three big and some small snappers.
My dad said to me, “Abbey, do you want to hold the fish”
and I said, ”yes please”I said.
Finally we packed everything up and went home. 

Going to Paihia

On the weekend, I went to Paihia to see my grandad. I was excited, jumping up and down. First me and my mum got ready to go to Paihia. Then me and my family went in the car and went to Paihia. Next we were in Paihia and we went to Paihia Bakehouse. I said, “Look! I can see grandad.” I was really happy to see my grandad. Later on we all went on a ship. It was fun. After that we all went to Jimmy Jack’s for lunch. Finally we went home to have dinner and we all went to bed. That day was amazing.

Going to Kerikeri

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing. Going to Kerikeri. On Saturday, me and my family went to Kerikeri. First we packed our morning tea and lunch in our bags. Then we got a jumper on because it was a cold morning. Next we got our shoes on. After that we got in the car and we went the short way to Kerikeri because I said, “We might go to sleep in the car by going the long way to Kerikeri.” Finally we got the groceries and went home. I felt excited.

WAL about rotational symmetry. Pinwheels We made pinwheels to show that when you turn them they look the same. What we found out. Here is what we found out. If you make a small pinwheel it spins faster. A big pinwheel got stuck on the handle. It was too floppy. If you put a fan in front of the pinwheel it spins faster. If you use a bead for a spacer the pinwheel won’t get stuck on the handle.

Teeth are very important.

I think we should brush our teeth every day and every night.

do not get bacteria in our teeth because bacteria

can damage your teeth so brush your teeth everyday.

Secondly I think we should brush our teeth everyday

because I think having a nice smile is great.

Thirdly I think we should brush our teeth

so your teeth are healthy and strong.

So look after your teeth.

Explain Writing-Tautoro School Facility

Here is my Explain Writing Sample.

In our Tautoro school  community.

Our library is not big enough room for everyone

To have powhiri or a assbellie because we are getting heaps of people so that facility that is needed by our Tautoro school community is a new hall. Why is a new hall needed by our Tautoro school community. First we need a new hall because we are a biger clarss now.so in

On Tuesday night

I am learning to add details to my writing.

On Tuesday night me and my family went into town.

First we put our shoes on. Then we went in the car
to Kaikohe. We went to New World.

Next we got some groceries. We got some bread,
milk, dog food, eggs and some dinner for us.

There were heaps of people in New World.
It is a very busy place.

What happened was when we got home
we unpacked the groceries then I had a shower.

After that I went to bed.

Recount Writing-At the Warehouse.

I am learning to add thoughts and feelings to my writing.

On Sunday I went with my family to The
Warehouse in Kaikohe.

First we put our shoes on.Then we hopped in the car.

Next we were in town. After that we drove to The Warehouse.  In the warehouse we got some of my spray.

We looked at my spray. We went down a line where
the spray was. Then I saw Milan at the Warehouse.
There were lots of people in the Warehouse. I love my spray.

I felt happy because we loved shopping in the Warehouse.

We brought my spray at the Warehouse.

I liked shopping at the Warehouse. It was fun.
